Aesthetics – Look, Sound and Feel
After 25 years of custom club fitting, we so tightly match optimal shaft to a player’s swing that they can focus on look, sound and feel. Select a club that
- looks good to your eye,
- sounds good when you hit it,
- and has the feel and feedback you desire.
However, sometimes golfers cannot make solid contact with a club if the aesthetics are not right, even if it supposedly matches them perfectly from a fitting perspective. It could be as simple as top line on an iron, color of a driver, finish (glossy paint or matte finish). All of these can make a difference.
Performance – Distance, Accuracy and Consistency
The majority of the golfers we custom fit are looking for consistency. But we strongly advise adding a little distance as well! Our goal in a club fitting is to cut shot dispersion by 50% and add 5-10% more distance. The factors we look at are club length, shaft weight, shaft flex, trajectory, spin, swing weight and loft and lie. Our proprietary BGF Fitting System predicts optimal club builds based upon your swing characteristics for each of these parameters. We then test our golfers in a fitting with clubs assembled to these specifications. The results of the complete fitting do not lie… just read some of our reviews.
