Fujikura AXIOM Iron Shafts – Now Available

April 18th, 2023

The new Fujikura AXIOM iron shafts bring proven VeloCore Technology used in the Ventus shafts to irons. The multi-material bias core construction creates a new level of stability through transition and impact. “These shafts feel solid and stable throughout the swing. Yet it still gives incredible feedback at impact. The numbers don’t lie,” stated one of our shaft testers. For AXIOM, VeloCore ensures the groundbreaking results players have experienced with VENTUS metalwood shafts are just as impressive in their irons. The VeloCore technology increases the stability of the club during swing and at impact, producing more efficient strikes and better performance with mishit shots. Thus, more consistency, accuracy, and distance help golfers of all abilities hit it closer and get more greens in regulation. 3–part Parallel Shaft Design A first of its kind, AXIOM’s 3-part parallel shaft design allows for tailored and specific performance throughout the iron set. Advanced lay-up techniques and material layouts cater to 3 club profiles. LP (long parallel) for long irons, MP (mid parallel) for mid irons, and SP (short parallel) for short irons. Plus, separate parallel sections result in minimal tip trimming, allowing the integration of premium materials further down the shaft. AXIOM Iron Shaft... Read More

More Greens in Regulation – 3 Tips to Lower Your Scores

April 17th, 2023

Hitting more greens in regulation is our hot button issue for 2023.  As a matter of fact 48% of the golfers in our poll say this is most important for their game this year!  But getting that done does not have to be a challenge. Three tips for hitting more greens in regulation: 1.  Hit Longer, Straighter Drives Ok, this just makes sense, right?  Puts you closer to the hole so you use a shorter club for your approach.  According to ARCCOS Statistics, 81% of players that gained 10 yards off the tee lowered their scores.   So how do you make this happen:  The proper loft, angle of attack, shaft length, weight and flex make all the difference. Optimize Your Driver for More Distance and Accuracy     2.  Club Up! Most golfers, even professionals, will take a little more club when going for the green.  Why?  Your chances of hitting your “perfect” shot are certainly less than 50%.  So if you have a 180 yard shot to the green, choose your 190 yard club.  If you do pure it, worst case you are on the back of the green. Another factor is your mental approach and success rate when... Read More

April 17th, 2023

WITB: Matt Fitzpatrick, 2023 RBC Heritage champion, held off Jordan Spieth and his two lip-out putts. And, Fitzpatrick’s 9-iron approach on the 3rd hole of the playoffs was, in one word, clutch. Fitzpatrick’s bag is a bit unconventional compared to other pros, combining Titleist and Ping throughout his bag. His one change since his 2022 U.S. Open win, was an upgrade to the Ping G430 3-wood. WITB: Matt Fitzpatrick Winning Equipment at the 2023 RBC Heritage With the help of PGA Tour and GolfWRX, we examine Matt Fitzpatrick’s 2023 bag of winning Titleist, Ping, Mitsubishi and True Temper equipment. The G425 Max was used to secure Matt’s U.S. Open win in 2022 – read the WITB. Surprisingly, Fitzpatrick, unlike most Tour pros, has yet to switch to the new... Read More

Muira CB-302 and MC-502 Irons

April 10th, 2023

New for 2023, the Muira CB-302 and MC-502 irons live up to Muira’s legacy of the world’s finest forged golf clubs. Each club is individually made using Miura’s patented forging process. Premium craftsmanship – highlighted by the shape of the cavity, the CB-302 optimizes weight distribution unique to each irons’ loft. Optimized forgiveness – the wider sole, coupled with a precise amount of camber and leading and trailing edge relief optimizes forgiveness. Variable depth cavities – The CB-302 design focuses impact power at the apex of the V-cut, allowing for effective distribution of weight between the heel and toe. Available in 4-iron through GW.
