WITB: Tony Finau Wins 2022 Houston Open

WITB 2022 Houston Open | D'Lance Golf

The 2022 Houston Open was owned by Tony Finau, going wire-to-wire to win by four strokes. At one point, he held an 8-stroke lead on a strong field. And, his 4-round total score of 264 is the lowest in tournament history. In August 2022, we tapped into Finau’s breakthrough – putting. His precision off the tee and greens in regulation was supercharged by superior putting. In Finau’s words during the post-tournament interview, “it was a clinic.”

With the help of PGA Tour and GolfWRX, we go inside Finau’s mixed bag of Ping, Callaway, Titleist and Nike clubs.

Finau’s Winning Equipment at the 2022 Houston Open

Unchanged from his winning bag at the 2022 3M Open Classic, Finau has proven that he has dialed-in his equipment in his own way. Without chasing technology, he’s proving himself with confidence in his equipment. In particular, his putter has led him to No. 2 in strokes gained putting and No. 1 in strokes gained overall.
