Nellie Korda WITB – Can She 5-Peat?

Nelly Korda 4 Peat

Nellie Korda WITB will tell you more about personal preferences than anything.  In working with the TaylorMade tour staff, Nellie has a definite bias to seeing her ball fall from right to left.  So, getting the head design, shaft weight, profile and flex is extremely important to give Nellie the performance she is looking for.

Now, having come off her fourth victory in a row, can she complete the first 5-Peat on the LPGA Tour since Nancy Lopez with a victory at the Chevron Championship?  We will see this weekend.

And, as a side note, who wouldn’t want her swing?  Wow…effortless power and consistency.

Winning WITB for Nellie Korda, T-Mobile Match Play by MGM Rewards

With the help of LPGA Tour, National Club Golfer, and Golf Week, we examine Nellie’s winning equipment.

  • Driver: TaylorMade Qi 10 Max 10.5 set to 10 degrees with Mitsubishi Diamana GT 60 S shaft.   She switched from a Stealth 2 HD after several months of testing to get the right look at address and shot shape.
  • Fairways.  TaylorMade Stealth 2 15 degree with Fujikura Ventus Red 7 S and 21 degree with Fujikura Ventus Black 7 S.
  • Hybrid.  Ping G425 26 degree with Fujikura Ventus Blue 7S.
  • Irons: Nellie plays a TaylorMade P770 5 iron and P7MC 6-PW with Aerotech SteelFiber i80CW shafts.  The Aerotech SteelFiber CW (Constant Weight) give her the feel and stability she needs to hit 76% GIR!
  • Wedges: Wedges are TaylorMade Milled Grind 4 in 50 and 54 and a Vokey SM10 58.08M with Aerotech Steelfiber i95 shafts.  Nellie likes to play her wedges a little heavier than her irons, which is fairly common.
  • Putter: Logan Olson Prototype.  Logan Olson putters are gaining a lot of tour play from very good players.

Custom Fit Full Bag

One of the great benefits of a custom fitting at D’Lance Golf is that we’re brand agnostic and we’re club head agnostic. We’ve fit thousands of sets helping players find the optimal mix for precision, distance and accuracy. And, most importantly, a consistent feel as you hit every club in your bag. For Nellie, being on staff with TaylorMade, the Qi 10 Max, Stealth 2 fairways, P770/P7MC and MG 4 50 and 54 wedges make sense.  The Ping G425 26 hybrid and Titleist Vokey 58.08M wedge are personal and performance preferences.  Don’t guess, get custom fit for your next set of clubs.
