Ok. I admit to only one hole-in-one in my life and it was with a great group of friends on a “road trip”. Seven iron, 182 yards with a stiff tail wind at Coyote del Malpais in Grants, New Mexico. The guy that got me started in the custom fitting and club building business, Stu Calder, had seven! On his 70th birthday, his sister got him a custom license plate that said “7 Aces”. He promptly went out that very day and got his 8th!
I heard of a couple great ones this year. Victor Minovich got one on the 13th at Foothills Golf Club and went on to win the The Senior Club Championship that day! Stacy Arnold got one at Whistling Straights. Let me know if you got one this year and give me the club, hole, distance and the course you were playing. You never know.
