Colorado Junior Golfers on a Roll in 2021

Colorado Junior Golfers on a Roll in 2021 with several finishing 1st in their divisions.  The Junior Golf Alliance of Colorado (JGAC) hosts numerous tournaments throughout the season and here are some of the results for players that have been through our junior fitting program.

Jeffrey Nelson II – Finished 4th in the very competitive JGAC Junior Tour Division.  He played in the U.S. Junior Amateur this year as well at Pinehurst and played well in a very competitive field.  What an accomplishment, Jeffrey!

Will Kates and Ben Harding – Finished in the Top 10 in the JGAC Junior Tour Division.  Great job boys!

Will Kates and Grant Juergens lead Arapahoe High School to Colorado High School Boys 5A championship.  Will had a strong finish to capture medalist honors while Grant finished in the top 10!

Gavin Amella, 13, played up into the 14-18 age group and finished 1st in his division!  Gavin has also played in some of the top U.S. Kids Tournaments in the United States.  Gavin has been working hard at his game and has gone through several equipment changes over the last several years.  We see big things coming in Gavin’s future.  Oh yes, he is one of several of our junior golfers that plays left-handed.

Addison Hines, another left-handed golfer, won the 11-13 Girls JGAC division in 2021.  Always a strong competitor, Addison has also played in U.S. Kids Championship Tournaments nation wide.  Love her attitude competitiveness.  Started when she was a 9 year old.

Jeffrey Chen won the JGAC 10 and Under Boys division!  We fit him for the first time in 2021.  Great job, Jeffrey.  Love to see these kids develop at an early age.

Claire Atzbach also won the JGAC 10 and Under Girls division.  We have been working with Claire for a few years and love her enthusiasm!  She has a great attitude and we also see great things coming from Claire.

Jesse Hand – Lettered at Chatfield as a Freshman this year and had a great 5A High School Tournament.

Paul (P.J.) Howard – Also lettered at Chatfield as a Freshman this year.

There are several players that we may have missed in this list that also have had great junior seasons as well.  

A Note About our Junior Fittings:

We are very honored to have some of the best players, their parents and coaches trust in our ability to nurture and grow their junior’s golf game.  Our philosophy is very straight forward:

1. Never fit into heavy adult clubs too soon.  This can cause some bad swing habits.
2. Be careful not to fit too long or too stiff to anticipate a growth spurt.  Again, can cause bad swing habits.
3. Offer our Lifetime Fitting so they will have to pay only ONE fitting for their life!
