Get Golf Tournament Ready – Four Key Areas To Work On!

Ok, Let’ Get Golf Tournament Ready!  After working with hundreds of competitive golfers, we have concluded that there are Four Key Areas to Work On!  Yeah, there may be a few other things to look at but let’s get straight to the point.

Driving or Off the Tee

You must get better off the tee!  You do not have to be the longest, but you should shoot for 12 out of 14 fairways.  I know some very competitive players that just want to bomb it, but they also are very good at recovering from wayward shots.  The bomb and gouge principle, right?  Analyze your misses.  The proper shaft in your driver can absolutely help you with accuracy and consistency.  Take a look at this blog on what your misses can tell you.  If you have changed anything in your swing or purchased a new driver, make sure you come get a driver fitting so we can get you dialed in!

Look At Distance Gaps and Trouble Clubs

A lot of golfer have bigger distance gaps than they realize and certainly have some distances that give them trouble.  We have done a lot of work with higher lofted fairway woods the past two seasons 7 and 9 woods are now very popular.  These are even replacing hybrids in some instances.  Time to get rid of longer irons?  Too big of gaps between wedges?  All of these issues are costing you strokes and can be fixed!

Getting Up and Down

Over half of our customers in our latest poll wanted to hit more greens in regulation (GIR).  But what happens if you miss the green?  Analyze your misses and let us help.  Are you short sided?  Do you typically fly the green?  Having the right recovery clubs can make it easier to get up and down.  Do you have the right bounce and lofts for sand as well as heavy rough?  Steeper swings and heavy rough need more bounce.  Shallow swings and tight lies need less bounce.  And, unless you are a really great wedge player, no more than 5 degrees loft difference between wedges.

Putt for Dough

What a difference the right putter and putting stroke makes!  We have really done a lot of research and fittings using TrackMan Putting Analysis and the results have helped our golfers with alignment, aim, tempo and consistency.  What is your putting nemesis?  Lag putting?  Those testy 3 – 6 footers?  With the video and statistical feedback from TrackMan we can help you go sub 30 putts!  Never just lag putt…try to make EVERY putt!
