Posting one of the lowest scores in U.S. Amateur Championship qualifying this year, Spencer Painton shot an 8-under 136 at the Columbine Country Club in Columbine Valley, CO. This is the latest in a string of great golf for Spencer. He will be entering his Sophomore year at Kansas University this fall. Spencer is following up on a great junior golf career where he led Regis Jesuit to 3 straight 5A Colorado high school championships and also qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championships in 2013.
The U.S. Amateur Championship will be held at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, IL on August 17-23, 2015. Best of luck to a great golfer and a fine young man!
