Congratulations Victor for a great tournament at TPC Colorado! Vic shot a 2-under 69 to earn medalist honors in the 60 man field. Had a great round with his new L.A.B. (Lie Angle Balanced) Directed Force putter! Vic has long been a part of the D’Lance team and helps us with club testing and quality control. He has been a consistent winner at his local course, Foothills Golf Course over the past several years but is thinking some of the young guns there have his number! Vic is now busy trying to dial in his equipment for the Senior Am event at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, N.C. August 24-29, 2019. Best of luck Vic! Here is more detailed coverage of his round from the Colorado Golf Association.
What's New: Inside D’Lance
We have a lot of golfers, actually over 10,000, that have gone through our fitting system and have gotten great results. Just in the last week here are some of their stories: Gavin Amella – 11 year old junior golfer. We first started working with Gavin when he was 8 years old and using US Kids clubs. We recommend junior golfers not graduate to heavier clubs until their strength and ability warrant the move. Well, Gavin has been progressing very quickly and is winning tournaments hand over fist. He just competed in the Optimist International Junior Tournament at Doral and placed in the top 10 in his age group. He also won the longest drive with a drive of 249 yards! Gavin is off to Pinehurst next week for the US Kids National competition. Addison Hines – 12 year old junior golfer Addison, pictured on the right in the photo, also came to us when she was eight or nine. Her dad, Derek Hines, claimed 3rd place in the 2008 World Long Drive Championship so Addison has a good gene pool there! Addison also competed at Doral in the Optimist International Junior Tournament and placed in the top 30... Read More

Congratulations to Mark Ceja and Michael Weaver, our Winter Golf League 2019 Champions! It was a close race and the winners needed the last week to close it out at Muirfield Village. Second place went to the father-son duo of Gary and PJ Howard. I think PJ had to carry dad a couple of times! And third place went to the Scott and Dayle Menges. Congratulations to everyone and hopefully the practice got you ready for the golf season. We will be running a Fall League starting in October so stay tuned for timing of that. There are a lot of new courses from TrackMan. We may even throw in a Par 3 course as a fun challenge! Thank you again and look forward to a great turnout this fall! Kevin Borgmann, League Director
D’Lance Golf The branding of D’Lance Golf was probably like most small businesses. So what do we name this company and what does it mean? To be honest, 22 years ago, we thought Golf Fit was the brand we wanted. But, then maybe people would think we were all about fitness. Nope. We are all about improving golfers performance through equipment, instruction and practice. My son, Lance and I were working on this as he was graduating from college…Project X we called it. But no interesting brand name came to mind. Finally, I was at a conference sitting next to a lady from Quebec talking about all the telecommunication companies that were launching at that time and I heard the French word, lancement…meaning launch. Well, my son’s name is Lance and we are launching a new business so voila’ – D’Lance Golf (the D is my first initial) was born. Yeah, Lance was not too excited about it either! After all, what’s a Nike?? The first few years we had a great logo, green and gold colors like a country club, and we branded everything from our hats to shirts to our golf clubs. D’Lance Golf Performance Center was chosen for the prestigious Golf Digest Top 100 Clubfitter 2019! This marks the fifth time D’Lance Golf was chosen for this honor. This award is given every two years and we started with the inaugural selection in 2011-12. We have had numerous posts in Golf Digest regarding our clubfitting process and a variety of different topics. Always fun to work with Mike Stachura, Senior Equipment Editor at Golf Digest on fitting questions. Mike had a list of about 35 questions that we responded to this fall. You should see my comments in a few articles coming up! I would also like to congratulate the following clubfitters that I worked with when we trained fitters for Golf Etc. of America. They also achieved the Top 100 Clubfitter honor. Congratulations to all of these companies that continue to do outstanding clubfitting: Golf Etc., Granbury, TX Golf Etc., Cary, NC Golf Etc., Morristown, NJ Touchet Performance Golf, Ft. After a major renovation of our indoor golf practice facility, we hosted an Open House to show off the new digs. What a great turnout from our loyal customers looking to see what new features we have to offer. We have replaced the old Achiever launch monitors with TrackMan 4 ball flight monitors and simulators. This new technology is the state-of-the-art for indoor golf practice and full course play. Learn More. Chris Melendez, our master clubfitter at the Fairways at the Stable, gave a nice presentation on how to effectively use TrackMan features for practice. Pretty cool stuff with the use of the TrackMan Test Center and TrackMan Combine to manage distance control and shot making. We will be publishing blogs during the winter to help our members continue to use the great new facilities to dramatically improve their games! And, congratulations to Carol and Steve Jost, winners of a 3 month indoor practice membership!
D’Lance Golf Performance Center jumped at the chance to pick up the TPT (Thin Ply Technology) shaft line earlier this year and it has paid huge dividends to our customers. Longer, straighter, more stable than other driver shafts we have tested. And the feel is phenomenal. Solid yet smooth. Now sure, this is a premium shaft but you can see and feel the difference in your game. See our Review of the TPT Shafts Here… Well, our dedication to fitting these TPT shafts for our customers put us in the top 5 in the USA. TPT was kind enough to host its top clubfitters at the David Leadbetter Academy in Champions Gate, Florida this past weekend. Kevin Borgmann, our production manager, attended the event as our representative. This was pretty cool as Kevin brought the perspective of the club builder, not just the clubfitter. One of the most exciting things we realized about the TPT shafts is their quality. Since we frequency match an spine-align all of our clubs, it was important for us to have shafts of the absolute best quality for our customers. Easier to fit…even better to build.
